Alistair Pugh, LVT Managing Director
I’ve been involved with the music industry for nearly 30 years, first as a musician, then logistics and road transport.
The journey begins with my first van, bought to carry my drumkit back in 1995. I moved to London to study drumming and percussion at London’s Musician’s Institute, then played at a semi-professional level through the early 2000s.
Soon I was moving other bands and artists around for shows and tours, learning about logistics and road transport. I qualified as a transport manager in 2007 and started my own company – LVT – in 2011.
Now we are a team of 15, most from music and events backgrounds themselves, using our knowledge and passion for music and live events to get event movements right first time.
Juan Castano, LVT Operations Manager
I began my career in event logistics and transport 22 years ago. Having started as a warehouse manager, I progressed into an operations and Transport manager role, then into my current position with London Venue Transfer.
Throughout my career I have been involved in the logistics for very high-profile events including productions for the Royal Family at historical Royal Palaces, for Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball, Scientology, BAFTA’s and many more. This has allowed me to build a great level of familiarity with some of the largest venues in and around London and the South-East.
I’m committed to delivering the best customer service and support for clients and my team. My main belief being that adding a personal touch is key to the delivery of a successful production.
Rodrigo Maciel, LVT Assistant Operations Manager
With a background in Mechanical Engineering, a process-driven mindset, and a passion for organisation, a few years ago I changed careers to work in logistics. I first worked in the building industry and then moved into providing event transport with London Venue Transfer. My main role is to assist the Operations Manager, as well as constantly review and find ways to improve our internal processes.
I enjoy the positive work culture at LVT; we are all professional and enjoy hard work but try not to lose the human aspect. We treat each other and our clients with a friendly and honest approach.
Originally from Brazil, I have been living in London since late 2017. It was a big change, but I’m grateful I made the move and I feel really welcomed here. When not working I spend time with my many passions including meditation/mindfulness, music, nature, sports, and reading.
